2018 XC Summer Training and Master Schedule

Haverford XC runners and families – our summer training program is now online. You can find it HERE. Also our Master Schedule is up HERE. It’s incomplete but this will give you a much more specific sense of our season, when and where we race, and our other activities. Also our general Cross Country page — found HERE — has a lot of useful info. Go Fords.

PIAA State Meet 2018

Congrats to the Haverford track and field athletes who qualified for Shippensburg 2018. Both Cecilia Katcavage and Olivia Boyce had stellar track seasons, performing on a very high level consistently through the season and qualifying for states. Olivia’s high jump PR of 5-4 puts her very close to the school record. Well done ladies!

Aiden Tomov had an exceptional year in the 1600 meters; he was 3rd in the county, 6th in the district, and 11th in the state final. Aiden’s PR of 4:20.9 — run in the heats at the PIAA state meet — places him high on the Haverford all-time list. At the district and state meets Aiden was ‘doubling’ back from running a leg on the 4×800 relay.

Speaking of which, the 4×800 relay of Aiden, Josh Fingerhut, Brendan Campbell, and Erik McCallion also had a great year, placing 5th at districts, qualifying for the state finals with a time of 7:59, and placing 11th in the state final. Brendan’s 1:57 leg in the heats at states was one highlight of many – his was also a remarkable season.

The future looks very bright for Haverford Track and Field. Go Fords.

Also, please remember to turn in uniforms and banquet information/payment. Thank you!

It’s time to talk about HXC18! Please join us today at 2:30pm in the West Commons.  We will welcome new team members, meet the 2018 captains and coaches, discuss summer training and pre-season, and we’ll talk about this website.  Go Fords!
