Harry Green is the head coach for boys cross country, and coaches both the boys and girls distance groups in winter and spring track.

Harry was born and raised in Houston, TX.  At the University of Texas at Austin, Harry was a seven-time (first team) All-American, won multiple conference and regional championships, was team captain in 3 sports (XC, indoor and outdoor track), and left UT holding 6 school records.  He was alternate on the 1988 USA Olympic Team for 10K. He was also a member of 6 USA national teams, and raced extensively in North America and Europe as well as Japan, Australia, and New Zealand.  His PR’s are 28:19 for 10K, 13:41 for 5K, and 3:44 for 1500 meters.

Harry was assistant XC coach at The Haverford School for Boys in 2014 and held the same position at The Baldwin School in 2015. With his help, every member of both varsity teams improved his/her 5K time by a minute or more. Harry is also a USATF Level One-certified coach.

Harry is the founder and owner of Harry Green Design.  He has also been a musician his entire life.  He’s the father of a six-year-old boy, Oliver, and is married to Hannah Turlish, the Department Chair of History at The Haverford School for Boys and a former All-American swimmer at the University of North Carolina.
